The surgery was performed by Dr. Gábor Benedek, MSc in Implantology & Dental Surgery, specialist in preservative dentistry and prosthodontics, dentoalveolar surgeon at Dentha Dentistry, Szeged (Hungary).
The extraction of the left upper number 5 tooth of the patient was followed by implantation 4 months later; the buccal bony wall seemed maintained at that time. Mild buccal recession was observed in the prosthetic phase but it did not disturb the patient. Later, though, the patient asked for the correction of the bony wall. The position of the implant was good and therefore only the crown was removed. A human cortical plate was fixed on the buccal surface during the remodeling of the bone; the remaining part was filled with human cancellous granules.
